Default air resonator plug...

I took out the "milk jug" and plugged it with a rubber stopper (2-1/4" x 1 3/4" x 1") and had to take off the clamp that was originally around where the tube meets the silencer. The plug is snug enough but I have a question as to whether or not I need to help reinforce it in any way. I was thinking either a hose clamp or a good ol' zip tie but is it even necessary?

thanks

there should be the (2?) plugs on the bottom, and a screw that helps keep the filter and coffe can in place.

I've got an 03, and it is already plugged. I was wondering what that "milk jug" does?

I'm not talking about the filter box. It's on the intake after the MAF

the circled thing was removed and the remaining hole was plugged with a rubber stopper.

I believe it's a noise dampener of some sort. More like a storage unit for hot air when sitting still...

I did the air silencer mods on my old intake set up. I used a home depot rubber stoper. Then i used a hose clamp so it wouldnt fall off, and it would seal better. I dont think you need to use a clamp, mine was snug with out it. I just used mine to make sure i didnt lose the plug one day while i was driving.
