LOL.. you're going to use a 71 240Z? I thought you were going to build this one out of an S-15 type chassis? Either way it's definitely gonna be a project. Thing'll run like a raped ape with twin snails though.. hehe.. Definitely worth doing once you get all the parts pulled together though.. That guys got his own shop complete with a lathe, milling machine, welder, and a lift with plenty of space, which also means he's got a LOT of cash on hand. lol If you think you can pull it off broham I say go for it, cause it'll be fun as hell, just don't wanna see ya get in over your head money wise brudda.

thanks man i appreciate it.

i've got access to all of the same stuff he does, but he's got infiinte x's the experience that i do, but im stubborn and i will make this work...but yeah i was gonna do an S-15, but those look to plain, and the prices here are ^^^. My build is strictly a junkyard build for the purpose of running hard at low cost...i think me and my dad can pull it off

Hrrmm.. you know if you like that older body style, you could probably find a 280 or 300z chassis that looks just like, and those will probably be easier to find than a 37yr old Datsun chassis broham. A junkyard might have one, but you're talking about having to completely do a ground up resto-mod on it just to do the swap. A new chassis like the 280 or 300 from the early/mid 80's might be a little less work for ya, and it'll look pretty much the same with a couple of exceptions. Just depends on whatcha want.. and don't be surprised or pissed off when it takes 18 months vis 2 months to finish her up brudda.. Either w

LOL i know Sub, im just looking for the lightest bodystyle, and its not like im going to be able to tell either way, im just looking for the sleeper look....time isnt an issue im good at waiting and working slowly. the motor will piece together quickly with many many junkyards at my disposal, its the body that will take a very very long time to work on.

lol.. meeehhh.. I know, I'm a goofy bastard.. I'm just thinking about which one would actually be lightest.. Now that I think about it I'm not really sure.. If you REALLY wanted a sleeper, you could go for a 210SX chassis from Datsun, but that's going to be harder than hell to find since they haven't made those since the late 60's.. Junkyard might have a few here or there though.. if you've got plentiful junkyards to pull from you should be able to fab any body work you'd need from available parts. Kind of a cobblestone build up, but it'll work methinks..
