Does anyone know our cars top speed w/o a rev limiter if we have one? I know the 99/00 Cobra's with the same engine and roughly same weightbut some things changed to ours (better cams, better heads, shaker hood scoop, etc) that had a little less hp and a goodbit less torque then our carstops out at 153mph. My guess would be 160mph perhaps? Wondering if anyone knows for sure or has tested it.

PS- Do you thing gears would increase this speed or maybe a little bit of suspension mods(subframe connectors, control arms,lowering springs, etc.)

 

were limited to 150. its not rev limited tho. ive never done it but from vids and wat guys say, the car pulls decent up to the 150 mark. its hard to say when they motor would be maxed out n speed increase would stop. has anyone taken off the limiter and even tryed? im guessing its pretty scary.

 

Never seen someone do that with a bone stock mach before, though a few years ago I saw a guy with an 03 mach w/headers/exhaust and a tune that turned off the limiter run 171 out at Bonneville in Utah.. That's about as as close as I've been to find that one out brudda..

 

we're limited to 151 then you take that off, and who knows

 

I personally ran mine up to 147.

I know we have some tuned Machs (ie speed limiter turned off)! Has anyone ran one out? Surely someone has!

If not, y'all are a big bunch of pansies and I'm going to start handing out the bans full bore!

 

LOL.. welllll.. fastest I ever had the mach bone stock was a hair over 140, though I did top out the Mark VIII I had at about 160-ish before I hit the limiter, and they have pretty much the same 4v set up we do.. does that count? No need for da ban stick if a body's willin ta try ya know..

 

171 w/a few mods, stock 160 sounds about right then. I wonder what a supercharged mach would top out at....... Subotai time to push that bad boy. No I'm just kidding, I wouldn't go above 140mph if I had the chance probably.

I think I hit 94 mph once. I don't think I want to be going 150+.
