Default Tranny Question

Got an 03 Mach and My throwout bearing is making some noise but the clutch is still grabbing strong... My question is when the car is cold I sometimes have a little difficulty getting into first gear from neutral, but once she is all warmed up I have no real problems.. Could I be mistaken and the cluch is in worse shape than I thought or does it sound like a synchro. problem? I read in another thread that Mach's had some synchronizer problems? Any Truth to that?
Thanx in advance for all your input

My bearing is making noise too but I don't have any issues with my clutch. In fact my clutch feels strong. I was told that I could just replace the bearing but the labor is supposed to cost me 250-300 so i'm just going to install a new clutch while it is torn apart.

I don't know anything about the synchonizer problems, sorry

yea machs are nitorious (SPL?) for it my roommates mach had to have his tranny rebuilt but that was part of the deal from the dealer so he didnt have to pay for it. but one thing you might try is change the tranny fluid with a combo of lucas tranny fix and mobil 1 trany oil the mach registry guys swear by it mine isnt too bad but i need to change the oil anyways so im going to give it a try here real soon

it's not the mach's with the problem, its the whole line of T3650's they are put together like crap, and use sub par pieces...the sychros are the worse part though. so in that aspect yes...but your problem sounds like a throwout bearing.

I highly reccommend trying the lucas tranny fix and mobil 1 trany oil or better known on there as "The Secret Sauce"

Secret sauce may be in order. I plan on running this as well when I install my MGW, which should be within the month. Beautiful car by the way. Weird seeing azure without a shaker, but that's an awesome cowl hood!
