Default Just ordered my intake spacer

I just ordered my intake spacer from Roy about 5 minutes ago.

Anyone have any tips on the install? I have heard about problems with the EGR but Machwon told me that it wouldn't be too hard with two people. What exactly is the EGR issue? I don't have any idea what the EGR looks like or how it works.

I might be ordering a JLT RAI also this week to help out. I am still using my stock paper air filter and stock intake.

Ah you'll be fine man! If no one will help re-align the EGR (its going to be sitting about 1/3" or however thick your spacer is higher after install), a good screwdriver pry should do it for you- you just have to get the 2 10mm bolts lined back up. Just make sure you dont cross thread either of them- I have heard of this before and it can end up being a PITA. Other than that the install is very strait forward, be methodical about it and keep good track of where what bolts / washers / nuts go and you'll be fine!

The install is pretty straight forward, I installed my PHP spacer (pretty much the same thing as the Roy intake spacer) in about an hour by myself, the EGR gave me no problems at all.

There was a write up for the install with pictures over at the M1R if you need it.
