04' with CAI, no cats, flowmaster, diablo tune. Some kid tried to race me in his 99-04 GT that had a cobar body kit... His exhaust may have been louder but I smoked his car. Pulled away at every point. I love my mach... Gotta post some pics soon!

+1 ^ I got my first kill on a 98 cobra. Pretty sure he was bone stock but none the less it feels nice when you pull away from a car like that.

Lol, I know not much of a race but it was fun. Sorry for posting in wrong section I guess I wasn't paying attention. Btw You guys have gotta hear this one... A guy in the town I'm from has a burnt orange 02' SS camaro with an auto. He has exhaust a tune ported heads and runs a 50 shot every time he races. The kid is a big d-bag his mommy and daddy pay for his aftermarket parts. Small town for you, everyone says his camaro beat a supercharged mach 1, a corvette, and that no mustang can take it. I wanna try the mach agaisnt it if he won't run the 50 shot.... What you guys think? BTW he has a weak motor that sounds like **** cause he tears the **** out of it!

 

I would go for it. The SS are pretty quick cars but an auto might be a beatable car if he doesn't hit that shot. He might shoot it anyway if you start pulling away from him. I say go for it, the worst that could happen is you would lose to a an SS with N20.

Sorry man but I sincerely doubt a bolt-on Mach is gonna pull an Exhaust/Tune/Heads SS. Even without spray, you'll really need to be on top of your game to hang. Close to stock LS1's are in our territory without plenty of work, but their power-to-mod ratio is through the roof. Especially with work into the heads/cam/intake.

I say go for it, though. If you beat him, let us know. Shut down the big bad LS1.[:@]
