How much more would it be for a turbo over a s/c? Aren't they both gonna be in/around the same ball park, money wise? If I went the the s/c route, is Vortech the only s/c that you can keep the scoop functional with?

The turbo setup will cost more, however it comes with an intercooler and front suspension (tubular K, a-arms, coilovers).

No, you can run Paxton or ATI as well.

aight pappa lemme add to this wealth of info here.

what are your goals?
a properly sized turbo can/ will spool @~3000 rpm and make power all the way to redline.
the manual mach 1' have the forged crank, and have better shift points (ie your pick them)
if you are going the S/C route Kenne Bell is the only on IMO for the machs, it does make the shaker non functional, but your not seeing any gains from it anyhow N/A.
the turbo route, i like hellion, but i have a custom turbo maker by my house. so on a special project of mine, he will be getting my order just b/c he's so close.

so it all depends on what your goals are for us to help you to the best of our abilities.

I wanna have 450-500 rwhp. I think a k/b would be awesome to have, but I think i would rather have a turbo cus its more rare and the scoop stays functional. How much psi can you run through a stock block? and how many can you run with the forged pistons and rods? Or what about a centrifical s/c? And one of my buddies suggested that porting and polishing the heads would give me some serious hp gains? even on the stock block?

the P/P on the heads would be worth while on the heads, maybe not "serious" hp while N/A but once you throw a turbo/ SC on there the air flow is even better.

as far as PSi on the stock shortblock ~10psi maybe 12 depending on tuner...and fully forged bottom...28psi-32psi i would guess no entirely sure so dont quote me.
