Default Grinding when going into reverse!

He guys, i havent been on in quite some time! But lately, i've been having a problem with my tranny grinding when going into reverse! Im really hopeing its nothing big.. Im gonna try a good adjuster and quadrant kit, then drain the old fluid and try the "sauce"! Hopefully it'll fix it, or else im gonna have to park the mach for a while...

mine grinds bad going into reverse if the tranny hasnt spun down yet. To solve my problems I hold the clutch in for about 7-8 seconds before attempting to put it into reverse then if it hangs and wont go in I very slowly release the clutch and reverse will slip right in.

I couldn't help but notice this thread. I own a 2000 GT with a T-45 transmission, and they are notorious for grinding when going into reverse. You have to put the shifter into first, then reverse or 2nd then reverse. Some people even put it in 5th, then reverse.

that works only about half the time with the 3650. its easier to just ease the clutch out and put it into reverse

I always do 1st and then reverse. I do it in all cars ever since I had my 00 GT. I never grind into reverse.

Mustangs always grind reverse. Why would you have to park the car and not drive it if its grinding reverse? Always use another gear before putting it into reverse. Reverse is unsynchronized. I do the first to reverse all the time, I've owned 6 stangs, and do the 1rst/reverse shuffle in any stick car i drive now. Second nature.

I've owned the car going on 3 years, and it just now starts grinding.. I think that's a problem! Several of my friends are mustang owner's and none of them have yet to have problems with their's grinding going into reverse... I would have to park the car if its grinding because i just dont have the time to fix, and also have a daily driver, so i would rather not risk further damage.. Plus i dont think ford intended mustang owner's to have to "use another gear before putting it into reverse."...
