4.56s VS 4.30s VS 4.10s
Does anyone here have 4.30s or even 4.56s? I want to get some 4.10s, but I don't know if I should go all out and upgrade to 4.30 or even 4.56.
It's not a daily or highway driver, just for occasional fun.
Thanks!

If you plan on any F/I, then 3.73s is the gear though it's still short. with 4.56s and 4.30s you will be going through first gear like its not even there LOL. There are some stang owners who have F/I and have dropped to a 3.27 to find traction.
hope i helped.

4.30s are definitely doable on our cars, although you know what it'll do the mpg, but you stated thats not an issue. 4.10s are more than enough Imo, being that it takes DRs and suspension, or either slicks to harness a hard launch on 4.10s. 4.30s and some DRs ought to put a Mach well into the 12s on a controlled launch. The 4.56s are a little much unless you are into 1/8th mile/bracket racing, or otherwise spend a ton of time on the track. 4.56s with slicks and such would probably/may lift a tire on a 5k dump. I think the driveability around town would be compromised a good bit with 4.56s, especially at cruising (70mph) speeds. Other that, the 4.56s with a good set up would be sick!

^ +1, I went to Speed World in Bithlo yesterday and i spun like hell, got the worst times of 14.5 at 103 lol. 4.10's would be fun on the road, but 4.10's would help u in accelerating at the track if u got some DR. Maybe if u got really good street tires instead, probably not idk. My potenza's are not hooking up at all on the track.

I was contemplating 4.10s and 4.30s but I went with the 4.10s simply for drive-ability purposes. I do a ton of highway driving, so I didn't want too steep of a gear so that when I'm cruising at 65-70 I won't be pinging 2500+ RPM. Now, if I did nothing but city driving, I'd be all over 4.30s.

I have 4.30's and love them. I do a lot of highway driving as well, and it's not unbearable. The only time it gets a little ridiculous is if I'm hitting 70+mph.
Nailing it in first gear with 4.30's is seriously worth any high rpm highway driving.
