I'm still on the lookout for a good deal on a used 40amp BAP to go along with the focus pump. I'm going for just under to right at 500rwhp, and have been told this setup will support it.

I also sent back the -18cc dish pistons I bought from MMR for some -11cc dished ones that will get me ~9.1:1 CR. I don't really want an anemic bottom end. I guess it's bye-bye 4.30's.

Once everything is here and accounted for, the motor's getting torn down. I'll keep you guys posted.

Yeah I'm going for something to run with everything but the sickest Cobra. Hopefully in the summer I'll have some cash to dump into a Cobra fuel tank setup with a TKO600 and support ~650rwhp. Only time will tell.

You might be onto something with that gear trade. I don't know how it would work though, unless we had a shop do both of ours at the same time so we're not down a car forever. I've gotta talk to my tuner about what gear I should run for 1/4 mile. I don't know if a 4.10 is still gonna be too much, even though I plan on running a 28" tall slick on pro stars this spring.

Pics will be included in my build of course. My pistons should ship out tomorrow according to Chris at MMR, and then it's bye bye running-like-crap bottom end. I'll probably make a whole new thread about it in this forum.

you will like the vortech my roommate has one on his mach that thing is a blast to drive. on i think 8psi non intercooled with like 148 inlet temp he made 420. he is just waiting on funds to get a BAP and already has the other pullie to make over 500 just dont blow the motor before you get to have any fun like he did lol

Yup! It's one hell of a challenge. Feels good to hang w/ a s/c termi. Not like I don't love termis like I do, just the whole underdog thing.

Seems like everyone around here is getting boosted but me!

Because that is the benchmark in the Mustang world. Other than something like the GT500 and Termi, the next fastest stock stang(minus Cobra R) is the Mach. We strive to beat the fasters cars.

For me, I do auto x and have beaten termis anyway so I could care less. It would still be nice to have the power to stick with one.
