Default Totalled Mach 1 with extremely low miles

I have a chance to buy back my 04 Mach1 with less than 20K miles on it. The body is pretty twisted and not fixable. All the running gear is good. It pretty much bone stock. The insurance company wants $4800 for it. Would it be worth it to part it out?

Sounds like it's totalled. It could come out as a wash, considering the time and attention it would take for you to sell everything. In this day and age of being able to sell via the internet, I'm sure you can sell it piece by piece. Just seems like it may turn to be a lil bit of a hassle though. But hell, the engine, trans, brakes, suspension, rear end, seats...the whole damn thing could be pieced out.

+1.

I bet you could sell the major parts like the engine, tranny, seats, gauges, etc for a little more than you paid. Then all the other interior pieces and any body panels that could be saved would be some more $$$.

Let it go man. IMO, it would be a PITA to sale that car piece by piece, and I guarantee you, it will end up being a struggle just trying to make your $4800 back. I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm just saying its risky, especially with everyone worried about the economy and not spending. The motor is the only thing in that car thats going to bring any kind of money. You'd be lucky to get 2-3 hundred dollars out of those seats and the trans might bring 5-6 hundred. Unless you have a specific project or need for those parts, its not worth the hassle. JMO.

i don't think it would be worth the hassle
engine 3-3.5k at most
seats 300
rear end 250-300
brakes 200-300

do you have any pictures of the things still good?
