What's the difference between 28 and 31 splines and which ones do I want?
What did the Mach come with factory?
Thank you!
There are no dumb questions, or I would've been banned from this forum long ago. 28 is stock, 31 is more durable and can handle more torque. Leaving them stock wouldn't necessarily mean immediate disaster. If you think you'll eventually do it then just do it while the rear is apart.

he is right. but unless you think your going to be adding alot of power 28s are just fine. i just ordered some hardened 28s because i dont plan on adding really any more power till im out of school and that way i dont have to chage differentials. if you order 31s you have to get a new differential as well. my stock axles hold up to my 5k launches at the track with some MT ET streets and are just fine. but if you think your going to put spray or boost anytime soon 31s are prolly a good idea
