what is going on here???
I found a 03 red mach 1 5-speed with slp exhaust and a short throw. It has 17,000 miles and a clean carfax/clean title.
Why is he only asking $13k? Is there something obvious I am missing. He says it is cheap because its better than the trade in value and he can avoid the dealer tax. With a background in used car sales (my dad is a used car manager) I am wondering if it could just be the economy and time of year...but it still seems quite low.

Here's what the jerkoffs @ KBB say....
Retail $14350 (noone pays it)
Private 12,200 excellent
11,500 good
10,625 fair
Trade 10,050 excellent
9,475 good
8,475 fair (usually around dealer trade value)
From my sales experience, dealers use NADA which is typically a tad lower than KBB. I know the market's bad and everything has devalued a bit....but damn. $13K is fair but I'd say the dealer offered him a hell of alot less so you could weasle some more out of it if you felt like it. Show him a copy of the private party excellent condition value of $12,200.
