What would you do?
A while back, after I installed my wheels I noticed that the front passenger side of my car was about 1/2in lower than the driver's side, but I didn't think anything of it. When I go to have the alignment done, the guy shows me the front passenger side shock which was leaking. I told him to change the front shocks and do the alignment, he said it would be around $200, I thought it was a little cheap but I figured he might have hookups. I mentioned to him that its a '04 mach1 and it has Tokico shocks and he said, "no problem". So today I pull my front wheels to look into a strange squeek, which sounds like its coming from the brakes, and what do I find? The brand name of the front shocks are Reflex, WTF?? I'm so tempted to take it back to him and put in the right shocks, I don't mind paying the difference, what do you guys think?
i would def take it back...did you ask for tokico? most ppl that work at places like that are used ot fixing reg ppls cars that dont care what brand you get as long as the prob is fixed...and the mechanics dont give 2 ****s about your ride so they will throw the cheapest thing possible on there. i would go back and say you want the oem equipment that you asked for

Him:if you want, take the car, put the shocks and bring it back for the alignment.
Me: well, can you do it all together?
Him: sure, just give me about 3 days to recieve the shocks, then i'll call you so you can bring it in.
Me: perfect, just let me know when you recieve them. Remember, its a 2004 mach1 and it comes with Tokico shocks all around.
Him: no, problem.
