Just be happy it was under warranty and you didn't have to drop $1200 like I did.

My 3rd is toast, and i can tell 4th isn't too far behind. Did you beef yours up when you had it re-built?

Had both 3rd and 4th new factory spec synchros installed. No more powershifting! Dude told me that 1st and 2nd synchros are sold as a set (not individually) and it cost around $600 so I'll have them done down the road when they need it. Hopefully far down the road. Prolly smarter to just get a T56 if ya have loot for it...obviously I didn't.

TKO 500 would be my choice to buy a new one, but rather take care of the current trans is my goal now. Sorry bout the bad luck, it sounds like you have the same luck I do, totalled a 00' GT a year ago, fixed and blew up my sled this winter, and blew the motor in my winter beater jeep. It can only get better is what I figure.

So it was 1200 for just 3rd and 4th gear syncro's? That seems a bit steep.

yeah bad luck doesn't last forever so you should be in the clear. It's all about the karma. You may as well fix 4th when you get 3rd done. Once your Mach is fixed everything in life will be back to normal!

i thought there was a guy on here that worked at a transmission shop. said $1200 would make your TR3650 way stonger than a TKO. see if you can find him. i had a TKO500 in my 01 GT. good transmission, wish i would have pulled it out before trading it in.

yeah it is a little steep. but I said hell with it because he's local, reputable, and I didn't have to send my tranny out and be out of my DD for long. Looking back, it was worth it.
