Default Engine Problems

So I was driving home this weekend about 80mph and the Mach decides to drop oil pressure and shut off! So I trailered her to the mechanic! He ripped her apart and said that the engine was all seized up. He's trying to convince me to just get a new STOCK motor. I want to just put a nice set of forged internals in! What do you guys think? Would putting all new forged internals in fix the problem? He said he found a motor for 6800 but for that money I can get a lot of new goodies! Help me out guys!

that or your oil pump went out and the engine shut itself off to save itself. i personally dont think its seized up unless you drove it for a long time with no oil pressure or oil.

yeah, i'd make sure your oil pump just didn't go out. that's what it sounds like to me, but if it is shot, forge it and turbo it.

It's throwing an oil pump switch failure code! But do you think replacing just that will make it turn over and start again?

if the oil pump and the switch are defective, yes it will fix the problem if that is the cause.

So what your saying is if both are defective it will make the engine not turn over and start?

Hey guys, not sure if my prob is related but it sounds the same??? When i start the mach it fires up real nice and then drops down to almost dead, but always saves itself. the rpm will bounce from 1200 to 400 for about 5 minutes until its warm. When im on the road shes fine until i get up into the low 100's. usually 90 and up through 120-130 the car sounds like its gonna fly apart and once i take it out of gear the rpm completely dies. I usually have to clutch it, or just start it up while im flyin down the road??? this is a consistant problem. about 6 months ago i had my mach up to almost 175 and there was no death shaking coming from the tranny or frame and it never died at those speeds. prior to these problems i had the motor apart, installed cams, and some other minor bolt-ons and im wondering if this is something i did, or if something is going out??? Also since these problems the whole inside of the car is like a heater, the tranny, the stick up to the shift **** is burning hot??? tranny fluid good, oil is fresh, pretty sure everything is where its supposed to be??? does this sound familiar to anyone? or am i just retarded?
