Like my grandaddy used to say....fak gas!! You might want to hit up stone629, his previous car was an auto mach and I'm pretty sure it had 4.10s.

unless you do A LOT of highway driving or have a lead foot I would say go with 4.10s. I got 4.10s and I drive over 50 miles per day to and from work (all highway) and I barely notice any difference in MPGs unless I get on it, Kinda wished I had gone with 4.30s.

I have had 4:10's in my auto Mach for a few years now, If I had to do it all over again I would, the Mach is my DD and I have used it on sereral long distance trips.
To be honest I didn't really notice a big difference in mpg but there was definitely a great difference in performance, on long trips in OD I would say the RPM's usually hang around 2800.

2800.....ouch. I'd change the oil more often. I do it every 3 mos. with my 5 spd. My SLP LM1 catback my is singing a helluva note doing 2300 rpm @ 70 mph, with your higher rpm your exhaust is definately going to be talkin to ya with your o/r set-up. Ofcourse, that can be a good thing. Hwy MPG drop w/ a 5 spd. is no more than 3, can't see an auto suffering more than 3 or 4. Give em hell dude!
