Gear whine... so I dont have to worry about my tranny and its not fom hard driving? would some 3.73's fix it

no worry on the tranny. It's from how the gear teeths mesh together. Even a couple thousandths of an inch. off will cause the whine but doesn't hurt anything. Putting different gears in with a spot-on install will get rid of it, but so would adjusting the pinion depth/backlash settings on the same gears. Ofcourse, I recommend steeper gears. Hard driving can cause it but over a much longer period of time so your cool.
