A 2003 Mach 1 compression ratio is 10.1:1 and I think it is a little high for a supercharger although lots of people do it. A 03-04 Cobra runs 8.5:1 compression I believe and that works much better with the boost. Try the search forum option and you will get a lot of info on this stuff. Im only telling you what I have read on other threads here. Hopefully someone will chime in with a better answer.

With the mach's compression ratio being 10.1:1 all it means is you can't run as much boost safely. You can run 8lbs perfectly on the mach 1 motor, with the cobra motor (8.5:1) and its iron block vs our aluminum block it can run a significantly larger amount of boost without risk.

To be perfectly honest, because of the Mach 1's higher compression ratio, it responds nicely to a 100 shot of nitrous! As far as supercharging goes, there are plenty of low boost options out there that are perfectly safe. I wouldn't run past 8-10lbs. under any circumstances on a stock block Mach 1! The aluminum block is by no means the weak point, it's the rods and pistons that can't handle the pressure. I wouldn't even consider a turbo on a stock Mach 1, you would be so limited in boost, why bother?

Lots of great points in here^^^
Block good for more than you'll most likely ever make (no offense)
on a Stock mach N2O is wonderful
8lbs non intercooled
10lbs intercooled
12lbs on E85 w/ intercooled

Turbo will be fine at these same levels of boost, but far more complex to self install.

You have already won half the battle right there. Just upgrade your clutch and make sure its got a good tune. I'd still stay around 8lbs, mainly for the sake of the rest of the car (transmission, etc) but I'm conservative.

Just curious, why do you have all these upgraded parts on an otherwise stock Mach? Was somebody building up to some sort of FI and just never got around to finishing the job? Inquiring minds want to know!
