Ha. I just read your sig and well, you should be able to go 13.5 with 4k plus your mods lol. I figured you were non PI. I got 6500 for my 96 with 83k miles on it. You might be able to get more than 4k.

I think I can expect at least a 13.5 out of my stock Mach and I cant see why you wouldnt get that outa your dads Mach. I think it would be difficult to get that out of your sn-95 vert. with 4k. Plus the Mach imo looks better, even than a Termi. No offence mustang3GT07 lol.
No offense to your driving skills but ive seen/heard/talked to many people with 96-98 5 speeds that have ran mid 14s @ like 96 mph and with 4k you could easily run a 96-98 car into the 12s. My auto 96 gt ran 14.5 with nothing more than 3.73 gears out back

All it takes is nitrous, gear, and sticky tire....but to do it without nitrous would be a differant story....still, pi swap with a set of cams and you can have a 300 rwhp car for like 2k in mods if you can wrench....which should run into the 12s with a good driver.

These days you can pick up a used vortech kit for like 1500 dollars...

Anyways, end of my ranting...the mach 1 one would be a newer, nicer car.

Although I think the termi has the mach beat on every aspect IMO

yeah im looking to get about 350 to the crank.

i think im just gonna build mine,i love the mach but its an auto and i can do alot with my car with the cash id spend on the mach.

once my dad has it finished ill drive it around with a forsale sign when hes not driving it and if i drive it enough ill put a set of new sticky tires and have some fun with it before he sells it.

id be set with a black 10th ann cobra convertable, maybe one day.

if i found a nice 96-98 cobra around here id consider selling my car and buying it and doing bolt ons and id be pretty much set. theres a nice 96-98 mystic cobra around here.

It was 90 degrees and I live in Washington so its a little humid but I dont know how you could do much better. The cars you must have seen must have had more done to them than you thought. I raced an identicle car and he beet me by .10 and 1 mph. I ran a bone stock 88 5.0 5 spd to 14.49 @ 98 mph if that tells you anything? s-197's were in the the low 14's that day. Remember I only had and O/R x pipe plus weld in flows and 275 rear tires as far as mods.

I had an automatic Mach until earlier this year. It ran a 13.3 at 105 mph on a 1.98 60', and a 8.44 1/8th mile at 86 mph. It only had a drop in filter and a X-Pipe. Don't let the transmission fool you as far as performance goes. With a set of 4.10s, a stall, and some DRs, it would've of been a mid 12 car. The automatic Machs are just as fast as the manuals (stock or modded), trust me I've had both. I understand if you just want a manual though, they are more fun to drive. Judging by the description of you gave of your GT, I would lean towards the Mach. If your car is burning oil, etc, its probably in need of an overhaul before too long. If you don't plan on reselling the Mach, I would jump on it.

if you plan on drag racing the car go with the mach you will get mush better times out of the auto. 4.10 gear and a 3200 stall and a 100 shot itll be smacking zo6's and cobra's all day long

Maybe its weather up there, I dont know...

my personal 96 gt AUTO with nothing more than a set of 3.73 gears was pulling 14.5x with terrible 60 foot on street tires

Im just saying, ive talked to a lot of people with near stock 96-98s running mid 14s

They always get a rep for being retarded slow when in reality theyre not.

My n/a auto 96 GT would run 14.0@ 100-101 mph all day long on street tires with a stock stall, and 2.1 60 foot times.

It had long tubes, bolt on ****, 3.73s, and a pi intake at the time.

I guess my car is somewhat light also since its a 248a

thanks. i guess ill have to wait till i drive the mach to see what i think of it and see how much my dads gonna want for it.

it doesnt burn oil bad like 2-3 quarts inbetween oil changes and it runs strong.

like i said i wanna build a new engine for it and i can do alot with my money if i keep my car instead of trading for the mach and ill still have a 5spd conv

honestly if i had it to do over again...i would've gotten an auto mach throw 4.10's...x-pipe, drop in, intake spacer, ~4k stall, 96-98 cobra cams advanced 10*, Lt's, electric WP, and a 125 shot and ran 10's all day
