hell yea

I dont know why people hate on the auto....

I know for a fact that a mach 1 with 4.30s, and a 4k stall would be dirty, even in stock form I bet.

i've been debating whether or not to get another mach 1 and use it strictly for the track, or use my 1967 2.3t as a combo DD/strip queen.....<is getting closer to being done. pulling the motors this weekend, and getting the 67 set up for wiring (all 5 of them lol)...eventually i'll have a MS custom built with a holset HX35 @30psi running meth injection esslinger cam and maybe a boport head. BTW all that will be contained by a C5 ( a cooling improved C4)

i want to either build my car, trade for the mach or sell/trade my car for a 96-98 cobra

i would build your car...with a 5.4 aussie intake mach 1 cpu ....yes there is a kit for this that WILL bolt directly into your car.

the setup ^ is good for lets say 385/385....IE cobra R setup.

The problem with that is you cant compare a normal, slow *** stock auto mustang to say a mach one with 4.30s and a badass stall.

My car started as a 96 gt auto, slow and gay.

But add 250 hp, a 3800 stall, 373s, and a jmod, and the auto all of the sudden becomes god

I agree with justinschmidt 1,
there can be some BA auto stangs out there, just need the right stuff.

The only problem with the auto mach is the cast rotating assembly. If you swap the auto to your gt you will need to get an auto computer for the gt. There is a little more going on in there to shift the electronic auto. If you have to have the 5 speed; I would spend the money to get the short block rebuilt with a stroker crank, trick flow heads (or at the least ported PI), and a trick flow track heat intake.

1st it's not a 5.0...our heads flow fine they use a version of them on the ford GT. The crank will be fine for any stock rpms or 6800 redline shifting.
