Default Spec clutch install question

Bought a 2+. Does the flywheel absolutely have to be resurfaced? The instructions say it does but two different mechanics I know say it doesn't. Thx.

Yes, it does, especially if you want Spec to warrant the clutch! I can't say that I've ever had one resurfaced, since with every clutch purchase/installation, I've replaced the flywheel with a new one.

The man with the plan. Always valuable info coming from New Castle. Sounds good, I'll have it done. Never done it myself, or seen it done for that matter. Is it something I can expect to be a fairly involved (costly) process?

From what I hear, it's about the same as having brake rotors resurfaced. Costs around $75 or so.
