Nothing notorious going on with our cars really. It is quite a rarity but just for ****s and giggles rev it some and make sure there's no head ticking. Drive, rev it, and go up and down the gears until you feel comfortable with the car. Don't know if the car has modifications so that can influence some advice you may receive. Best of luck with the deal and let see some pics if it pans out.

A Mach 1. Nice! I hope it works out for you.

Put it through its paces. Maybe bring someone else along with you to check it out (it couldn't hurt).

Even if it has a head tick, its not a real problem. It developes over time due to inaddequate cooling... You can buy some part for like $120 that helps cool the back of the heads. Run it through the gears! take it to at least 6500rpm and see how it feels. If it scares the s*** outta you, its good lol. It might also have a rearend whine, its normal and not a problem. How much are you offering btw if you dont mind me asking? Got mine for 15500 with 42k miles. Good luck, If you buy this car I will give you 10 buckets of awesome lol.

what this guy said plus look for the difference in tread between front n rear tires, may sound weird but it could show signs of lots of donuts. Look at the owner of the car (basically age) and also look at the leather interior on the drivers side for rips?
Not to rub it in but i got mine for 13,500 36k.... patience is virtue
Hope you get the car!

Ha ha MustangManiac. Mines Competition Orange though (smiley with tongue out) lol. I passed on a black one with 44k miles for 12,500. It had d-spec adj. shocks/struts, lowering springs, Flowmaster cat-back, and K&N CAI, with 2 sets of tires... But it had the rear end noise that I just described and since at the time I didn't know that was common, it scared me and I passed. O well. In my area, when I was looking, they were going for about 16-17k... I was happy to get mine for 15,500 plus I almost bought an 05 GTO (sooo nice!) but the seller flaked. I still envy those cars... BTW, how hard was it to install your Fiore clutch quadrant + Firewall adjuster? I want to do this upgrade but feel like it is going to be too much of a hassle.
