I have thrown a code here recently... it's saying "system running too lean, bank 2". I'm in the process of getting it checked out. Don't know if this would affect anything or not.

Wish granted... You can hear the 2-step launch. It holds the RPM at 4100 so all I have to do is slip the clutch. It works great, even on street tires. Pulled a 1.92 60'.

hey stone629 who make an aftermarket intake for our cars??
I thought our intake was better than the previous year cobras.
I also agree that with a 20hp improvment after your tune I would have really thought that your trap would be higher that that I ran my 13.3 at 106. and your only running 1mph faster it sounds like your only gain is in your 60ft time

JLT, KN, and C&L make intakes for our cars. Steeda has one too, but I believe theirs is only the airbox part. I've always heard intakes don't help our cars, but I'd like to see more proof of that.

I don't get my trap at all. I trapped 107.8 before my tune or gears! After the tune and gears, I was struggling to touch 107. The DA was only 87 feet and the temps were around 65 degrees. It was 45 degrees when I ran before. The gain is definitely in the 60'... makes you wonder, ya know.

no no i was talking about intake manifolds I have the RAI from JLT it seems like your gears are helping you out in yout 60ft. but I would still think that the hp gain should have givin you somthing??

I spin very little going into 2nd if I shift at 6100-6300 rpm, which is what I was doing. I shift decent I think. You can hear the shifts in this vid as well as the slight chirp going into 2nd and 3rd.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxCyd8SGlks

About those manifolds... I think there is one out there, but its hard to come by. I want to say its an FR500 intake, very costly. You can have yours ported, but the results are a bit shady.

The traps were sticking at 105 mph when I shifted at 6800, and climbed to 107.x when shifted at 6300. In other words, there's no doubt the power is dropping off after 6100 rpm. What do you think man? Do you think an aftermarket intake will change things?
Stone, i went through the same deal with mph/shift points and it was a pain in the butt. Ater frustrating myself for several trips to the track, I said goodbye to the higher shifts and now shift 6.5, 6.3 and 6.0 which is yielding me higher mph/quicker ETs. 107.7 ain't bad for a 12.9x though and I'd say your time are right on with the few mod you have. All of the dyno sheets I see of Machs with 4.10s show power dropping shortly after 6K...it's not your motor falling off, it's the natural powerband. Just my .02 ofcourse. Nice pass in that vid, you wuz rollin fo sho.

Kool. That eases my mind a bit. I found out why I'm throwing a code today as well. Its a po174 "system too lean" code. We tracked it down to an exhaust leak at the driver's side exhaust flange. Bad thing is, the pipe flange is bottomed out against the manifold studs, so the only way to seal it is to remove the studs and use bolts. Long story short, its either buy another mid pipe or put the stock H back on. You are still running the stock H right? I'm leaning in that direction. Between the fumes, questionable gains, and fitment issues, I think I'm going to go back to the factory piece. Thanks for the compliments!
