Default Just installed my MGW sts...

and didn't break anything this time. Last time I installed one on my GT I broke one of those plastic clips on the shifter bezel. It took me around 3 hours to install, partly because I lost that little rubber grommet under the drivers seat and I like to take my time... The shifting is much more precise now and doesn't feel like I'm driving a semi-truck. Too bad I cant really test it out, have to break in the new clutch first. Anyhow, I highly recommend this shifter if you don't have one.

How do you like the auto tranny in the mach 1? I had an auto 2000 v6 mustang as my first car and it was fun at first because it was a mustang, but I got bored with it. I do have one short/sweet story about that car though...

I used to work with a guy that had a honda civic hatchback with some sort of engine swap and some other various ricer mods, the guy was a D-bag. He would always talk smack about my v6 mustang, how it was slow and how he would smoke me in a race. I caught him on the freeway one day after work when he had two other people in his car and it was just me in the stang. We were lined up at about 60-65 and I proceeded to walk him with a big **** eating grin on my face.

haha nice story man. I love my car its fun to drive sometimes, especially when the car actually spins in 2nd gear. Thats what I like about the auto. All my friends that I hang out with all drive manuals and keep bashing that I have an auto. But after we race againt each other, they learned that autos are not so bad lol.

O.P. good job on the installment and have fun driving that beast!

MGW ftw! I love mine too, much better than the stock mess,

Grif, I love the auto Machs. I actually would rather have my old automatic Mach back vs the one I have now, lol. It was just as fast without all the work. It cut a 13.3 at 106 mph with nothing more than a catted X pipe and a drop in filter with everything else being stock. Even got a 1.9 60' out of it a time or two. It was deadly from a dig, but I had to be careful racing from a roll due to some dead spots and the trans not always wanting to downshift.

Haha, I do agree with you on the car being deadly from the dig. Its fun as hell, but from a roll.....thats not as exciting lol.
