Default ET/DA conversion? Need input

Someone once told me that it's possible to calculate what a pass would've been with different DA conditions. Is it true?

Previous best: 12.38, temp 50, DA 1500 below sea level
Just ran.......: 12.39, temp 75, DA 700 above sea level (+25 deg., +2200 DA)

Just curious what I would've ran. Thx for any input.

There's a DA calculator at dragtimes.com. It won't calculate for anything under 100' ASL though. There have been some heated discussions in the street/strip section about this DA stuff. Those threads always end up getting locked, lol. Basically, calculating for DA will give you a very rough estimate of what your car will run by correcting the DA you ran in to a DA closer to sea level, but of course it still doesn't factor in any other variables like track prep, weight, driver mod, etc, etc. I'm not a big fan of it in other words other than entertainment purposes. You're two runs have a DA difference of 2200'. I don't think DA becomes an issue until you start getting to really high DAs of 4k' or higher. Your runs sort of prove that.

Did your 60' or trap speed change at all?

Thx for the site, it's a great one. All else being the same, IMO a huge 2200 ft. change in DA will make a .15 difference in ET, but like you said it's subject to personal opinion. Dragtimes recalculated the 12.39 pass to SL and said it would've been a 12.307 and using a lil backward math the -1500 DA day would've yielded a 12.25 or so. I know it's coulda-shoulda-woulda thinking, but hey its.....entertainment, lol. I cracked 111 mph twice on the better day, highest I managed on six runs this time was 110.5. Oh, and 60' were basically the same..all 1.7x except for a 1.692 the better day and 1.699 this time.

Nice work Ryan! You're ETs are consistent enough to safely say you have a 12.3 car. I honestly never knew Machs had that much potential in them with so few mods. As consistent as you are, I can definitely see you knocking off another tenth with some good air.

Stone, where have you been man. Mach's are very under rated, and are known for big improvements with after market parts. I'm not shocked by his times at all.....He's just a good driver. Theres so many bad drivers out there that have cars like us, with the same mods, and never will see times like that. I see people all the time with superchargers that can't crack 11.99, due to bad driving. Good drivers in these machs, make some serious good times!

Thx stone. Yeah the 12.3 thing is good, but I don't know about knocking off another .10, the conditions I've had to run in have been great. The other night I enlarged the p.side headlight hole with a dremel and I think that may have made up the slack from the lesser conditions. My next lil step is to modify my JLT filter so that the front is completely open. I have one of those fake headlights with the middle cut out and I'm telling you that intake is called ram-air for a reason. Thx again for the compliment. To be honest, I'm thinking 11s...can't help it, lol.
