Default Looking at a 04' Mach 1 this weekend

Hey guys, first off I'm new here and technically don't own a mustang yet. I'm going to look at a mach 1 this weekend and have been looking around for one in decent shape.

This one is black, 60k miles, 100% stock, 2 owners, garage kept, etc etc.

I was wondering if there was anything in particular I should pay extra attention to when test driving it and checking it out?

I did a search and found some stuff about Gt's but nothing specific to the Mach's. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks and hopefully soon I'll be a new owner!

Pay attention to 3rd gear under WOT. Good luck with the buy, man!

The Mach's are pretty durable. Things to look for are the 3rd gear lockout at higher rpm's if it's a manual (Tremec 3650 had a TSB on that), a tick from the heads, and if the owner put underdrive pullies on them, get 'em off asap. There have been more than a couple of Machs that have broken oil pumps due to underdrive pullies.

Thanks for the tips... the owner let me drive it pretty thoroughly. With that being said, I couldn't feel anything wrong with hanging rpms throughout 3rd or any gear for that matter.

Also, the car hasn't had underdrive pully's put on so no worries there.

I'm pickin it up next weekend

Excellent car, I've owned 2 03's & loved them both.
