Default replacing chin spoiler

Hey guys,

I've got a replacement chin spoiler for my Mach, since the old one is pretty banged up. What's the best way to get the old one off? Also, will I need to drill new holes in the bumper or can I use the factory ones for the replacement?

I've got the chin spoiler kit from americanmuscle if that helps.

Thanks.

If you got an OEM replacement then it should line right up with the preexisting holes... if you dont plan on reusing the little plastic tabs (which i would not recommend trying) then i would get under the thing with some kind of snip or an exacto knife or something and cut them so the fall right out then just slap the other on there and you will be good to go.. I hate that the chin spoiler is so darn vulnerable

Those clips are a pain in the butt, so I think I'll just get some cutters and take your advice. Thanks for the help.

And I agree..I'm sure this won't be the last one I put on.

first of, learn how to park people! had to get that out.

to the op, should line right up, i would recommend new plastic fasteners before you do it. that way you wont have to worry about it sagging down from the used ones. i think when i replace mine ill get a bunch of nylon nuts, washers and bolts to tie it on so i don't have to worry about the damn BS plastic fasteners they use.

If parking the car is the only way that your chin can be damaged then i envy you haha... the streets where i live are horrible, pulling out of store parking lots involves some crazy angle crap that takes up the whole entrance/exit and its just all around a PITA

My stepson replaced the chin spoiler on his '03 with the one from AmMuscle...it seemed to be a bit more glossy than some I've seen. I need one for my '04 and wondered if any of you guys have liked one from another source better..... or I'll stick with them. It was nice that his came with real nuts & bolts for install.
