Default Need Advice

Well I'm getting my rear finally done tomorrow....I went with:

-FRPP 410's
-FRPP Track Loc Diff
-Moser 31 Spline Axles
-Motive bearing Kit

Also going to be running on Mickey Thompson 275/40/17 ET Streets.....

Want to know what psi is good for the tires, and where should I launch around?

Thanks guys...

A good place to start is around 15psi and 4500rpm, it all depends on your track, you might end up at 12-13psi and launching at 6k, its all about trial and error.

Well it all depends how sticky the track is, just let the car sit for a while every two runs or so, shouldn't be too hard on it since you're N/A.

I run At Raceway Park also known as englishtown.....It's in NJ....It's a professional track, so it's top of the line....

Thats fine, just let it cool off every couple runs.

I've found even the ET street radials hook awesomly for n/a cars, and even alot of f/i cars, so you'll have a great time with your softwalls. Leave at 5-6k and roll the clutch out a little to keep the rpm up or you will certainly bog with those super sticky tires.....which defeats much (if not all and then some) of the gains you spent the $ for. Accept the fact that your first entire trip to the track will be for dialing her in w/ the changes. With a healthy burnout, start w/ your psi @ 28 and drop it by 2 lbs each pass only if you're still spinning each run, and remember a lil bit of spin w/o having to let out doesn't hurt and can actually help. If you get her dialed off the line but are spinning 2nd, 3rd or 4th you can drop it a pound or two but you'll stall on mph, kind of a trade-off. I'm trapping low 111s @ 24 psi spinning 2nd/3rd a lil and chirping 4th but dropping it to 20 psi to not spin down the track drops the mph to 110s. I'm prolly getting laughed at suggesting that high of psi but this method is what's been super effective for me after 4.10s and DRs. Sorry for the book, just trying to save ya the months of aggravation I went through before figuring this shyt out. Congrats on the nice additions, have a freaking blast, and let us in on some feedback.

EDIT: by the way I've been to E-town before when my bro was on Doug Herbert's team. Scott Kalitta exploded going by me and I watched him go into (over) the sandtrap. Bad day it was. Helluva nice facility y'all got there for sure.
