Default Mach 1 head work, cams? porting?

Ok, so I think my brother is going to get his heads both done along with new timing chains. I figure if the heads need to be out and machined shouldn't he just get them ported? Any mach owners that can give some advice? Also, just stick with stock cams? I mean if they are going to have the heads apart I had heard that 96-98 cobra cams will give gains and they are cheap.

if he is going to stay N/A i would just get them polished but if he were going to go F/I i would get them ported as well. the stock heads flow damn well. the 96-98 cobra cams are good but i would if i had the money get a custom set or a better set.

Hmmm I guess he will go with rebuilt heads, better valves, polished, gonna have is 1/8" spacer added to the intake he has sitting around, new clean headlights, new shocks/struts, new KDW's all around, new brakes, and a custom dyno tune. It has o/r X-pipe, flowmasters, and a CAI now. And then he will keep it a couple years and get a used 11'.
