I have an 04 Mach 1 and I want to put an aftermarket air intake on it. which would be better, CAI or RAI and which brands/types do you recommend?

My bro did K&N FIPKII and it looks clean, although I don't know how much power it picked up. I'll tell ya when the car gets back from the shop.

If you must, get a CAI, the RAI is no longer effective once the engine bay heats up... The best air intake is stock with a K&N drop in filter + RoyC fabricated intake spacer. Save your money please, lol. I also have a twin 60mm TB(don't bother getting one, it whistles and provides no performance increase. Unless you want to buy mine ) and went from a drop in K&N to a JLT CAI(fender mount) and didn't feel or hear a difference. Fit is terrible as well. RoyC is a member on MF and he makes the TB spacers and I have heard very good things about his work. I don't know what mods you have but do gears if you haven't already. Anybody here will back me up on this, so consider 3.73's or 4.10's. The Machs have 3.55's stock and I wish I would have done the 4.10's instead of the intake BS lol.

Thanks guys, I'm gonna go ahead and order an O/R X pipe instead of intake and just throw in a K&N filter figured that'd be a better choice as far as sound and performance.
