Default Couple Questions.

Well, I've been planning to buy a new edge once I sell a couple things. Was thinking about the GT's. Then I started thinking about the Mach's. They're something I've always loved the look of. So I'm trying to figure out if I should just hold off and find a nice Mach I like. I'd probably be keeping it a very long time If I end up with one. But I don't know a ton about them.

Just recently read they require premium ? (91 + Octane )

It'd be a daily driver (rain or shine, no snow.) How's the hood shaker ? Sealed well or not something to have out in the pouring rain ?

I'm in Michigan, trying to figure out what they sell for, granted I'm willing drive a little over 300 miles for the right car. But I'm going to have about $14,500 MAX to spend. Am I going to be able to get a nice one in that price range ? Seems I see a couple around 13k, ranging all the way to 22k +

I bought mine with 42k miles for 15,500 and from what I have seen, I overpayed slightly(Buy I got Comp. Orange lol). I would say that 14,500 would be a good price and you might be able to find one for less. The shaker is fine, I DD mine in Washington State and its been raining for like 2 weeks straight. The shaker is not the primary source of induction, it is an addition to a regular GT intake lol, I dont like how they did but what are you gunna do... If you want the Mach 1, then get it. You will have a blast because they will snap your neck around pretty good stock. MM&FF magazine ran a 13.13 @ 105 mph stock. Yes they are under-rated lol. Any other questions? I got answeres.

Yea after looking at some pictures I see the way the intake is setup. I really like that orange, but I also think the white looks great. Isn't really a bad color they made them in though. I guess I'll keep an eye out and see what I can find. I'd still prefer an auto as it'd be my driver though.

I REALLLY love your car bud You didn't get ripped off imo. Heck i got my car in AUG 07 and my car was 15000 with 28k on the clock and its was a stock GT. But i traded in a car so it only costed me 6K. But even still in 2010 here im seeing Mach 1's with around 30-50K mileage and people are asking between 13-15K.

White would be nice. I can't recall seeing too many of those. Also, i don't really see to many auto's for sale either.

So many people want upwards of 20 grand.... This is gonna be a bitch to find one at a reasonable price. The only ones I'm seeing in the 13-15k range have like 80K + miles.

lol, didnt you just buy yours?!?!

-One thing about the auto's is that they only rev to 5800 vs 6850 in the 5 spd and the auto's dont have a forged crank. Plus I hate how ford designed the auto stick shift lol, looks like *** imo.

I think I'll keep an eye out for the right mach in my search. But for a daily driver I really don't want a 5 speed. And I'm not going to pay top dollar for a mach 1 just to daily drive it. I think I should stick to trying to find a very nice GT. That way I'd still have some money left over.

i DD mine everyday 100* with 90%+ humidity down to 17* and ice on the ground it's seen everything and no issues yet. as a DD auto will be fine. im still not sure why people give the auto's crap... i would actually prefer one now lol the forged crank wont break but the cast will be difficult to break sa well.
