Get a catted x pipe. The majority of the flow restriction is in your stock midpipe. The x will wake your exhaust up and even yield a noticable performance gain, which a catback won't. Be sure to spend the extra money on a quality stainless one such as SLP, Bassani or Magnaflow. I had SLP and was very happy with it. Any further questions just ask.

H pipe = deep muscle sound

X pipe = raspy

Depends on what you like as far as sound goes. I'm very happy with my magnapacks, I don't think they were loud, my friends always said other then one day I romped it going under a bridge. They will bark when you get on it.

OP, as far as an X being raspy....a catted X with your chambered muff will still yield a nice deep tone. I ran a catted X with a straight-through muff (SLP Powerflo) and still had a deep tone to it. An H will have a slightly choppier muscle car tone which alot of people like. No cats on either will be alot louder than what you currently have, and the X will have more rasp than the H in the higher rpm range.

I have some off road cats, an x-pipe and the borla stingers on my Mach 1. Love it! Nice and deep, no drone or rasp. Its not crazy loud though so you might want something more extreme.

When I had the factory exhaust and flowmaster 40s I added a Mac prochamber without cats, the car sounded amazing, perfect tone with no rasp.

all you need to buy is the catted h pipe. Your car will sound great with it.

+1 on the prochamber. I just installed a Mac O/R prochamber and Mac catback. I WILL NOT change my exhaust again.
