Mass Chit-Chat
Thats how I got my CS rear. When I got hit, I instantly thought "Upgrade time". Turned out to be like $200 more, but well worth it.
Thats just how a lot of people get away with CHEAP GT500 conversions. Front end gets damaged, and you need a new hood/bumper/maybe a headlight.
Stock hoods are like $1400 unpainted, so after you work with the body shop and insurance company its not a huge cost to you.

Well, made a purchase for the car today. *Cliff notes at bottom* Back story:
Car came with 255/50/18 all seasons on it. Around 2 years ago one of my rear tires got slashed, so I took it as time for an upgrade. Ordered a set of 255/45/18 Nitto 555's and kept them on the rear, with the stock all seasons up front.
A year or so later, the car was pulling to one side and had a bit of a wobble at highway speed. After spending $80 for a really ****ty alignment, the guy THEN tells me the tire is worn toward the outside and the only way to fix it is get new tires. This would of been awesome advice BEFORE I payed $80 to have you do nothing. Jack-***.
I decided since I only drive the car 1000 miles a year, MAYBE, its not worth it to replace them if all I have to deal with is wobble. Well, fast forward to today, and I can see the tires are nearing explosion on the edges so its time to replace.
Searching around on tirerack for whatever I can get for cheap (Will be getting new wheels/tires anyway, so didn't want to drop major $$$). Looking at 225 sizes cheapest was ~$90. 255 sizes were around $150. Just for giggles, I looked for the largest tire spec-ed for an 8.5" wheel, 275/45/18. Would you look at that, Conti Extreme DW's @$100 each. Called in and found they were made July of 2011, sold!
They'll be here tomorrow, and I'm kinda excited the car will have fatter meats out back, and wont be all wobbly on the highway anymore.
This also brings me to my next point, does anybody know of a good alignment shop? The one I went to is what my mechanic uses. The guy who took my car in couldnt drive stick to save his life, and in his mind the answer to stalling 2 times in a row is more gas. I could smell the burnt clutch from 50 feet away. The alignmment machine looked out of the 50's, and looked like it was about to fall apart. Again, remind you I payed $80 for this pleasure.
/Novel. Bored in the control room waiting for a test to finish, so I had to pass the time somehow.
Cliff notes: Bought 275/45/18 Conti Extreme DW's for $100 a piece. Now I need a recommendation on a GOOD alignment shop.
