Reading this thread and looking into this kit is really making me itch to sell my vortech and get this setup. Hell I already have the fuel setup all set, I would just need the manifold, blower, elbow, tb, intake, heat exchanger, and water pump/reservoir. I bet I could buy all that sell the Vortech and only be into it for an extra couple hundred when the dust settles...

Don't construe this as me trying to nudge you down that path, but I will just say there's a reason I went the blower style I did. The centrifugal blowers are certainly effective, but the look of the positive displacement type when you pop the hood, and that scream under boost is what tipped me that way.

Here is something to push you over the edge John.

The new 2013 TVS blowers? Yea 99% sure they will bolt on, and new from ford they are cheap, so takeoffs will be as well.

Yup I think I'm gonna do it then. althought i'll be taking the opposite approac you did. I'm going to start with the big purchase(manifold) and get that out of the way first next month, then piece it together as I go along. I already contacted DoB and my fuel setup is good to go, so I can keep my injectors and pump combo which will save some cost. all said and done from prices I've seen should hopefully be into it for 2700-2800 and then sell the Vortech for around that to break even and I'll be good to go lol.

There you go.

I wonder if Jason will take a 13' TVS and figure out what he has to machine to make the snout and pulley work. Would be a cheap upgrade from the M122 if you go forged.

Well with my current trajectory at work I should be able to buy almost everything for the kit with my comission check. (Killing it in sales this month @150% of my quota with almost 2 weeks to go :-D ) So probably looking around first week of august to order the manifold, since I won't get the check till end of july. But so far looks like all steam ahead and I'll be looking out for other parts as I go along.

Small updated, picked up an intake today.

Was tossed between getting the stock one or a JLT.

Used JLT's go from anywhere between 250-350 since they are 450 new.

I could of gotten a stock intake for ~$100, but I would also have to get a resonator delete ($70) because apparently the stock one kills blower noise, and is a huge restriction.

Ended up with a C&L, which after a quick bit of research, is better than the JLT. Look at this filter!

Definitely one of the best options for the GT500 style setup, and looks good too. Excellent choice.

What would be really sweet is if it works with the 13 TVS setup.

Because, no surprise here, thats what will end up on top of the DOB manifold when all is said and done.

I know it won't though, and I'll be out another $400 haha.
