Winter Plans???
#51
Definitely drove in the worst of the weather this morning. And all I have to say is that winter tires are AMAZING.
I don't know how I've lived so long without experiencing them. Driving on ice, snow, and slush was a completely different experience. I will never go another winter without them. Sure, the dry traction may be lacking, but I couldn't believe how well my car handled in the slippery conditions. I even purposely tried to lose traction around a few corners, and it was completely undramatic. I'm incredibly impressed by these Blizzak WS70's.
Here's a picture of the front end after the commute. Can you guess which honeycombs are functional?

Winter tires are an essential for sure. I won't budge if there's snow without snow tires on.
From the last snow fall on Monday. Slowly getting the 99 GT on the road. Gotta $600 bill coming next Tuesday. Not looking forward to that ****. Hell of a lot better than the first quote I got of $2500. To sum it up, spot welds on exhaust, coil pack, O2 sensors (3), two inner tie rods, trans leak (rear seal). There goes my refund...

Yeah, you and I are dead center of the "over 2 ft" zone. I'm going to tuck the Mustang as far into the corner of my driveway as possible so shoveling is easier. I'm sure I'll be doing a lot of it over the next day or so.
