looking for some advice. i have a 2011 Mustang GT and im about to put a small system in it.

I want to keep the stock radio but add a sub/amp to start out with, will replace all 4 speakers eventually but probably wont amp those...still debating it.

anyways, my question is...what do i need to add to the back of the radio to ensure i can connect my amp? i've never hooked anything up to a stock radio, always to an aftermarket deck.

i will be putting in a FI Q12 powered by a Kicker 1500.1. any help would be great. thanks

So what do you think an estimated cost would be?
Also, i'm only 16 so I'm rather new to this whole car audio thing since my dad thinks its a horrible idea and I'm killing the resale value of the car etc. so i don't really have any help.
I watched the motorz video and i am a little confused on how this is all working. The front two speakers don't have an amp right? But the back two do? As well as the sub? and then how do you do the remote cable? Do you need one for both amps? How does that go into the factory head unit? (I haven't taken it out and looked back there yet) I'm just a little confused on which wires go where so if I could see like a wiring diagram specific to a 2011 mustang for an upgrade like this it would be amazing.
Do you think I would be capable of preforming this installation myself knowing that I have no experience?

    Thanks for your help

    Hi
I have been searching for WEEEKS on how to upgrade my audio and I haven't found another 2011 mustang owner who understands where I am coming from.

It would be great to have a louder sound system with more bass. (I have the base model 2011 v6 mustang, and I like hiphop/dubstep/techno anything with bass)

Could you tell me what I would need in order to upgrade my system, what products I should use and how to do this installation. I would prefer it to be as cheap as possible (without cutting tooo many corners).

You seem to know a great amount of knowledge in this area and i would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

Hey Rob, how did you get the 6 x 9's to fit the rear deck in your 5.0? Anything special? Thanks for the help!

Hey rob i have a 2011 5.0 with the shaker 500. Where did you get the harness that gives you the 4 rca outputs?

    Thank You

Thanks Rob. The side skirts are Roush. I go them from AmericanMuscle.com. The front facia is a CDC Chin Spoiler. You can get that from them too, or directly from CDC. These are not the new rims, those are the old TSW Nurburgrings (18x8). They are for sale right now, basically brand new, with 3k miles on'em. I'm putting larger brakes on the car, so I had to upgrade to 18x9/18x10 setup. Thanks for the compliments and if you need any more info, hit me up. This has definitely been a fun build, and I have a lot more to go.
