boy people get real excited, I love it! I think another mod that looks great that I want to do on my saleen is the agent 47 mirrors and clear cornerns in the front w/ the xenon bulb. I guess the amber fog light bulb should be switched too for a more aggressive daytime running lite look. I've never been one for quarter louvers but I think I'm going to do the techco red butterfly ones since I've got a red theme going on.

Minus the 803 & the crooked emblem on the driver's fender that's a nice looking Mustang.

What's done to the motor to push that kind of power?

The base model Saleen's are only 315hp & slower than a GT. I was very disapointed when I test drove it. $55K for a high 14 second Mustang doesn't make $cents$ to me.

There was a Saleen at the track running low 15s to high 14s. I wanted to race him but he wouldn't. Guess he didn't want to get beat by a V6.

what saleen are you talking about? im not aware the supercharged s281 only had 315 hp and is slower than a gt? wouldnt it having 315 hp make it faster than a gt anyway? you need to do some research

I did my research. The base Saleen is a plain GT reprogrammed then you add all that extra body panels the extra weight it makes the Saleen slower.

I test drove a Mustang GT then a base Saleen within 5 minutes of each other. The GT felt lighter/faster, then I drove home in my wife's modded V6 Mustang and 0-60 its faster then both thanks to the 4.10 gears.

isnt the stage 1 saleen just the body + name + retune?

the stage 3 is all the goodies and a supercharger, definitely faster....

I test drove 2007 Cars. The 2008 base Saleen" S281 3V" now has 335hp so it might beat a new GT.

335 HP @ 5200 RPM
345 lb-ft TQ @ 4500 RPM

98 mm MAF
Hi-flow Inlet Tube, Air Box Cover & Filter
Power Pulleys & SFI Approved Damper
PowerFlash™ Performance Calibration

Vehicle Weight 3550 lbs

2008 Mustang GT Specifications:
