thanks! the v6 was nice but every mod i spent just felt like i was putting money into something thats not gonna pay off. i had an xcharger on order but why spend the money on that when you can mod a gt and have even more power?

Yep, I know how you feel. But even after all the mods I put into mine, I only lost about $200, plus I drove the car for over a year. I think I got a good bit over what it was worth, mainly because I waxed my car every 2 weeks or so, and it looks INSANE. You can probably see in my sig. I sold it for $9k. Bought an 03 gt for 9900. So really only spent $900 to go from a v6 to a gt, with minor mods.
I know I'm loving my GT. Hope you're having as much fun with yours as I am with mine.

same here. i put about 2500 of mods in my car. i bought it for 17. i drove it 9100 miles and the dealership gave me 17 after all my hard *** driving haha. the gt only had 11000 miles and they sold it for 19000 out the door. we both ended up spending very little to upgrade and yeah, the gt is so much more fun to drive.

Congrats on the swap, whatever makes you happy is what matters. Awesome deal too, to both of you guys.
The S197 V6 bores me so that was a good upgrade.
The NewEdge SN95 is more exciting to me as there is more that you can do to it, a lot more custom mods and people working out there trying to bring more performance out of this little Essex mini-me of a V8 windsor. Infact being Windsor based there is a lot that changes over.
If I had a chance to swap my 01' for a minimal cost GT I would, but only because its stock right now and still an auto. If it were a 5spd, probably not.
I got about 230-240bhp NA from my budget 00' build which was not bad at all. I plan to rebuild that motor with forged internals and a 4.2L crank to take around 15psi from a D1SC.
I wanted a M112 for the longest time but I changed my mind, I wanted to keep the IAT's down so the intercooled Procharger kit seems like the better way to go.
Anyways thats enough about my crappy V6 fetish. :P
Get some vids up of the new car.
