Wow... i would have thought more too!

The gears cause 2-4 % loss on the dyno.

Just throw a 100 shot on... and be done!

2-4% is either 265rwhp, or 270rwhp... so not horrible, but damn, I would have thought I'd be around 300rwhp. I guess either get a 5.0, 4v or 3v, cause these 2v's just suck.

here is the tune. Check out the torque difference from old (red) to new (blue)

I guess if I was a manual I'd be around 292-297rwhp, but I'm still not happy. We'll see what the track says at good ol' milan dragway!

I want to go asap now!

I'm trying to get some people to go down to Milan in the next couple of weeks.

It would be cool if a bunch of us went on the same day.

I guess my next question is did you just do a couple pulls, or did you adjust the tuning thru pulls. Sounds awful low for heads and a cam, even w/ a auto.
Was timing advanced, fuel trims adjusted, was there anything done to optimize.
I had 256.6rwhp/ 289.9rwtq, minus the cam and heads when I was NA.. I had LT/plenum, ignition and bigass cai form MAC and the 3.73 gear . I never heard of losing hp fr a gear, though I could be wrong. Let me know, if not, you know what Im going to tell you next(hahah). Hope to see you this spring.
Did you do any tuning to your tarns. ???

You've gained a fair amount of power under the curve, and your peak power is increased and extended as well.

For 16 peak hp it doesn't get any better than that.

Scott,
Yeah, we did a few runs, air/fuel was perfect, timing was adjusted as well. It does seem low, I've heard of full bolt on manual 2v's doing around 300rwhp without heads/cam, I did the math and if I were a manual I'd be around 297rwhp which is still pretty low if you ask me for a cam/head car.

Did I gain a lot throughout the rpm range? Yes, really nice torque down low (which is odd, I thought I'd gain more up top)
Did I expect to see a better peak hp? oh yeah
If I don't see a 13.4 or better am I going to sell this car? who knows

With my n/a numbers i ran a 13.6@104 w/2.1 60ft. on street tires. That was my second time at the track. I'm sure i could have brought that down with a little more practice.

If you run drags or slicks a 13.4 is more than doable with your mods and power level.

I think you could reach it on a good street tire as well too.
