MO Get Together
Where should we have the next Mustang Get Together? Which Saturday in October would be the best? I think the 1-4PM get together was a good time to allow people who live farther enough time to get there. Maybe Jinxxx will have his car back together by that time.
There is a classic car group in Hermann that is putting on the annual River City Cruise. It is this Sunday if anyone want to come down. Admission to the event is free.
Here is an excerpt from the local paper:
River City Cruiser to be host for car show on Sunday
The River City Cruisers car club will be the host club for the annual Car Show in the Park here on Sunday, Sept. 11. The show will be held in the lower city park near the campgrounds.
Along with a large car show, there will be two other events for car enthusiasts.
On Friday night, Sept. 9, will be the monthly cruise at Hardees.
On Saturday evening the cruise will start at 6 p.m. and end at El Ranchito Restaurant.
Points will be awarded for participation in all three events. The individual with the most points will win a jacket at the show on Sunday.
Registration for the Car Show in the Park on Sunday will be from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There is a $15 fee to register.
Admission to come and look at the cars is free. Kids can participate in the scale model contest, and there is no registration fee. Kids ages up to 15 years old can glue together models and compete for awards. No pre-painted cars are eligible. The proceeds from this year’s 50-50 drawing will go to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
