Trying to organize a "cruise and cruise"
I'm trying to put together a group to come up to Port Huron, go for a cruise on the Huron Lady II (a three hour cruise for $15), and then stop to eat at the Quay Street Brewery or Vintage Tavern in downtown Port Huron.
Tom (Afixer) is here from LA working on a movie and his wife and youngest son are coming in this week and staying for 3 weeks. So I thought it would be a great time to get together and meet up with Tom and his family since he will be here without them until December.
So who would be interested in a "cruise and cruise" on an upcoming weekend?

I'll check on the Huron Lady on the availability for maybe next weekend (Sunday or Saturday?) When I mentioned it to Tom he thought it would be great to get to spend more time with MOCSEM members (and Collective members and any Mustang enthusiast) while he is here as well as introduce his wife to the friends he has made in the Mustang community.

I checked and there are still lots of seats for the Huron Lady cruises on Saturday, August 29 (www.huronlady.com) . I will need a head count to reserve tickets, and we need to determine what time because there are two options:
1:00 to 3:00
or
3:30 to 5:30
Whichever time we choose, we have to be there at least a half hour early. If we get there early enough (even though we will have to stand in line) we can be sure to get seats together and probably on the upper deck (unless it is chilly and then we might want to sit in the enclosed lower deck).
The Quay Street Brewery is on the river right across from the Huron Lady, and the Vintage Tavern is across the street from that. I was thinking we could park the Mustangs in the lot on that side of the Black River because it is a bigger lot.

Tom and I were talking today, and with the long range weather forecast for Saturday (possible rain, high 60's) I think that the 1:00 cruise on the Huron Lady is probably the best time to plan.
Let me know who is able to come - and if there will be an "organized" place to meet up to come up here. Since Pat and I are here, we probably won't cruise down to cruise up, but maybe could wait on I-94 at the Marysville exit for everyone to get there and take you in the back way to the dock. We need to be at the dock at least by 12:30.
