I'm looking to put the block and heads from an 89 mustang into a 93. Then installing the block and heads from the 93 into the 89. Any issues I should look out for? Is this a strait up swap with no problems?

Might I ask why you wanna swap one 5.0 for another and back again?

 

Well the 89 lx was my late father in-laws car. He rebuilt the bottom end and installed after market heads. My wife's grandmother drove a white convertible Mercedes. The 93 triple white is a tribute to both of them.

To top it all off there is an evil step mom who is taking every thing, including eventually my late father in-laws 89 lx. So, we want to try and keep something he loved. That's why I'm wanting to swap bottom ends.....

 

There's no difference between the 89 and 93. None.
