Default 5.0 in 95 BMW M3

Hi guys... I am new to this forum and could use some input. I am currently a member on the BMW forms which is great when just working on a BMW but most people on there no nothing about fords or v8 lol.

I am currently in the process of swapping a 5.0 from a 1994 mustang. The motor has gt40 heads, harden pushrods, roller rockers, Crane valve springs, and a few other small mods. My main plan is to have it boosted.

This is a compleat overhaul the motor bay has been reprinted and the enter car is getting painted as we'll all new parts all the way to the light bulbs. And all custom fab work done by me in my garage.

I will be adding lots of pictures as I am 50% done. Please commit, ask questions, and please help me with my questions.

Thanks!!!

That is a lot better looking that my mind first thought it would be.

Nice.

I am going to be buying a new intake manifold the bbk ssi-r. My question is will it bolt on to my 94 5.0 ? My only understanding that the 94 differs from the 86-93 platform in that the electrical is updated or different, and the front of the motor is not the same. Will my 94 bbk 75mm throttle body bolt right up to it. Will I need a intake elbow like the 94 had? Any info will be helpful. Thanks

Any intake will bolt up as head bolt pattern is unchanged and I believe you'll need the elbow still...
You said you wanted to boost that mill, well you need a plan in order to get it done properly.

First the GT40 heads are useless as they don't flow at all, even in N/A application I wouldn't use them so the point is moot with force induction.
185cc AFR, Trick Flow or Edelbrock Junior are a good aftermarket alternative for those 302/351 engines. A complete set of those heads (aluminum) with valves retails for about $1200/1300 last time I checked.
As for the BBK intake, I'm not sure how worthy it is with boost...

Go to the Classic Section, ask them that you want to build a boosted 94 5.0 and see what they suggest.
Don't mention that it will go into a Bimmer so those guys don't get sidetracked. lol.
