Default 98 gt auto into 97 manual chassis? Help?

Default Swapping 98 auto into my 97 manual?
Basically looking for someone here that might have some insite into doing this. I am swapping a 98 motor with auto trans into my 97 manual as it threw a rod. The 98 motor came with the harness/steering column/drive shaft/gauges/ecu/brake pedal for neutral switch. Just trying to make sure i havent missed anything i did notice that the two motors are pinned differently. Basically wondering if i will be better off pulling the dash and swapping out the full harness as the new motor has cruise control and some other things that the 97 didnt before. Here my list if im missing anything let me know in a comment.

1. Swap manual drive shaft for auto.

2. Replace ecu for 98 tuning vs 97+gauges for PATS?

3. Replace column for cruise+PATS?+auto shifter as it runs through column?

4. Replace brake pedal assembly for neutral switch?

5. Pull full dash and swap out in cab harness/possibly might not need too if cruise wont work with the 97 foot pedal not sure?

As i have started tearing into this project i have noticed that my manual chassis 97 car has alot of the open plug in ends i need like the plug in for the overdrive etc. The only thing that has me still worried is that the 98 harness is missing 6 pins and the 97 harness is only missing 3 any advice?
