Default 5.8 foxbody swap

To those of you who have done a 5.8 foxbody swap...my question is....if I use solid motor mounts (which drop the engine an inch and a half...presumably) can I use 5.0 shorty headers? Or will there still be clearance issues?

First, this is not the correct location for a tech help post, that's why you didn't get any answers.

But the answer is, drop solid motor mounts don't drop the engine 1.5", but even with only a half inch drop, you can run into clearance issues. When I Windsor swapped my fox, I tried drop solid mounts and stock height mounts. I eventually used stock height mounts because the drop mounts created too many clearance issues with the exhaust and oil pan.

If you'd like to call UPR at 561.588.6630 we can help with this swap.
