Default need help with swap.

So ill start out by saying i never planned on getting a v8. I bought a v6 and love it. With that being said i have a wrecked 2014 shelby in my garage and a brand new 14 v6 premium. The 5.8l in the shelby is still good, what my i ask is needed to put it in the v6 premium body itself? is it cost effective since i have both cars now? the only salvageable parts from the shelby are the engine, mounts radiator and driveshaft. possibly the rear axle but i doubt it.. what else would i need? will it fit the tranny or will i need a new one?

Just guessing, but you'll probably need the transmission, kmember, struts and springs, fuel pump, instrument cluster, Ecm, electrical harness under the hood. You may also need the instrument cluster, ignition switch and keys.

And hope the rearend is good, as it is much beefier than the v6 or even the gt rear.

Very cost effective.

I would think most of the parts needed will be on your wrecked car.

Good luck with this project!!

Ummm - incorrect. Even the V6 came with 31-spline axles. The only diff between the Shelby rear end and the V6 is the gears and brake rotor size. The V6 rear should hold up just fine (but I would consider larger brakes to be on the safe side).

Id say transfer as much from the doner car as possible to save you big $$$ in the long run. You may still need to buy some small stuff along the way to replace any of the damaged parts that are in the doner car that you cant use.
