Hey guys im new to this community ive owned a few mustangs in my past. My favorote being 08 stage 3 roush. Well i got a great new job and want to build something from the ground up. Ive considered almost every version of the newer mustangs the boss 302 the regular gt etc... But if its possible im considering going with a high mileage 2011 mustang gt and from there going with MMR crate engine through their site. I noticed when i was building the motor with what options i was going with (the 1000) they had an option of upgrading to the 5.2L . im wondering will that fit the 2011 mustang gt? Also would i have to get a different tranny or would a mt82 still work.

A friend of mine just swapped a totaled '13 GT500 engine, transmission, rear end and brakes into a 2006 V6 and it fit so I don't think you'll have fitment issues. As for the trans, better ask MMR.
