Default Putting my engine into a different body

I'm trying to find out if I can put the engine and manual transmission from my 2000 3.8v6 into a 2011 Mustang that needs new engine. It was a 3.7 V6 with auto tranny. Unless it would be easier to convert my engine to automatic. Not sure if the investment is worth it if I cant use mine as part for the 2011 and I'm not sure which direction to go with it. Can anyone help with advice??

Not worth the time or money, 3.7 is worlds better than the v6s that came in the previous generations.

Are you referring to costs as in what it will cost to convert it??

Both...the 2011 car will be worthless by the time you do the swap. You are going two generations backwards on the engine. Not to mention you will not be able to get your newer electronics on the dash to work with the old electronics from the 3.8L unless you do a lot of wire harness modifications.

It would be best to sell the donor car with the 3.8L you have and use that money to getting a used replacement 3.7L engine to stick in the 2011. Easier and more cost effective.
