Default jack stand support

Trying to put jack stand under my 75 mustang II hatchback. At the moment have them under the axles to do some cleaning, but I want to replace the rear leaf springs, suspension, etc. Have a manual that says should have a part of the unibody that can support this. Picture in book doesn't look anything like under my car. Everywhere I have tried has resulted in some deformation, so I stop before causing any damage. Is there a good place to support the car when I replace the rear suspension? thanks.

where the sheet metal comes to a vertical point just under the car, like.... it runs the whole length of the vehicle from front tire to rear tire..... should be 2 or 3 sheets of metal thick right there sticking down about an inch or a little less. you should be able to put the stands there without messing anything up
